This short, absurd film is based a true event that happened to Tallulah whilst visiting her family in Dublin. This film draws on the absurdity of that real life event and amplifies it by creating a setting of a dinner party out on barren moorlands. There are political connotations reflected, throughout, regarding her personal Irish history and identity as well as the political history of Ireland too. Tallulah communicated with Irish singer songwriter Declan O'Rourke to use a few seconds of one of his songs from his 'The Chronicles of The Great Irish Famine' album.
My 4 and a half minute experimental film, Detached aims to question and critique how we, humans, spend our finite time on natural earth; using structural film techniques and inspiration. The mundane, repetitive nature of the film emphasises how our detachment from nature is also a detachment from spirituality, connection even to other humans and from reality.
